In a state of flow, you become so engaged in the activity that your mind and body become one and you no longer need to think about individual actions. You are completely present with the activity and no distraction can interrupt you. You operate with immense energy, creativity blossoms and the quality of what you produce is significantly higher than what you could normally create.
